Ligne Roset – In Paris, Philippe Nigro introduced us to Marechirao, a contemporary shelving unit which creates a ‘space within space’ with three modules, straight, concave and convex, brings infinite freedom in the creation of alcoves and perforated walls while adapting to the architecture space.
After three days in Paris, visiting showrooms and attending Ligne Roset’s launch of new products at Palais de Tokyo, we took the train to Milano for Salone del Mobile, the worlds biggest furniture trade show. Along with over 300,000 other design aficionados, we visited with all of our vendors to be introduced to their new products and continued our exploration to find new designs companies. During Salone, Milan is abuzz with showroom events, parties and special exhibits. More to come in our next few announcements!
We saw Plauto Designed by Paolo Cappello, Simone Sabatti for Miniform at Salone. Plauto wood table performs in a whole repertoire of shapes: flat, curved, pointed. Excellent raw materials and craftsmanship combined with simplicity will never fail to amaze.
‘The reality is way more interesting’ was one of our favorite exhibits! The design project that complements the total living solutions for the home and the contract projects. Kristalia & Personal Spaces by MD House dedicated to contemporary and minimalist design, expresses the ultimate flexibility of use and spatial arrangement of furniture resulting in a total living proposal, ranging from the living room to the bedroom and outdoors.
Le Deun celebrates their 25th anniversary in Milan – Jean-Luc Le Deun has been the leading LED specialist since 1997. In his Paris studio, he creates lighting fixtures that combine the high technology of LED and its lighting performance with a sophisticated and poetic design. We discovered the LE Deun showroom walking around Marais/Paris 5 years ago and fell in love with their designs. Meet their new creation Zepto
“My Kartell” is the title of Milano 2023, a way of being, in constant search of the new and of innovation. “My Kartell” is a lifestyle based on belonging, beauty and quality. Meet new creations of Patricia Urquiola: UNDIQUE line with Round, postmodern aesthetics. UNDIQUE MAS coffee tables, playing with colour and soft, welcoming lines. OKRA vases in recycled plastic fit into this habitat idea, playfully complementing the furnishings with geometric lines and different volumes allowing for a witty mix & match. PARAYS rugs are designed for a colourful and enveloping living space, with a curly fabric in perfect harmony with the soft bouclé or mélange fabrics. LUNAM, the collection inspired by dreamy lunar atmospheres, is dressed in new CURLY fabrics in the colours white, pink, orange, petrol and acid yellow.
